Hikvision Video Door Entry Installation

The Brief

A customer in Renfrewshire wanted a better way of managing who came to their front door. Their front entrance has a glass door, and they wanted to be able to see and speak to callers clearly before letting anyone in, rather than going to the door every time someone arrived.

What We Did

Our work included:

• Planned the position: Looked at the entrance and agreed a spot for the door station beside the glass door, at a height where the camera gets a clear view of whoever is calling.
• Fitted a Hikvision video door station: Mounted the outdoor station neatly beside the entrance, giving visitors a clear call button and the customer a live picture of the doorway.
• Installed the indoor monitor: Fitted the monitor inside, showing the live feed from the outdoor station so the customer can see and speak to callers.
• Tested and handed over: Tested the call, picture and audio between the door station and the monitor, then showed the customer how to use the system day to day.

The Result

The customer can now see exactly who is at the door on the indoor monitor before letting them in. It is a simple, tidy setup that makes the front door more secure and saves a trip to the door for every caller.
